Photoluminescent emergency egress systems are located at low level to aid evacuation during dark or smoke filled conditions. Our complete system compromising of a 5mm thick carrier in either PVC or Aluminium with a Class C rated Photoluminescent insert is designed to be wall mounted in compliance with BS ISO 16069 guidelines for Safety Way Guidance.
Most emergency lights are ceiling mounted and can be quickly eradicated in smoke conditions as the smoke rises, however with a system located close to floor level and when properly energized by good normal lighting a non-electrical photoluminescent system can glow for up to 8 hours effectively giving confidence and spatial awareness to evacuees.
